The Huntress
Horsemanship Technique
Huntress
Horsemanship is a program for truly great horsemanship through personal growth
and understanding. Caitlin Day Huntress first gained notoriety for her
work in Dressage, but it was her passion to understand horses and people
that gave her the ability to teach so prolifically. Caitlin pulls
from her life experience when she teaches. With analogies and story, she brings
a focus of dance, of body perception, personal awareness, and meditation into
the world of horsemanship. These practices are incorporated into her
lessons and training, and have created the five principles of Huntress
Horsemanship; Grounding, Creating Space, Listening, Flexibility and Development.
By incorporating these principles into the lives of her students and horses,
everything becomes possible. This is how Caitlin can guarantee her
teaching and training results!
Caitlin Day Huntress
is the Head Trainer for BlackHawk Natural Horsemanship Center and the originator
of Huntress Horsemanship. Caitlin began teaching and training Natural
Horsemanship in 1998, following seven years of traditional dressage riding and
education. She has worked with such notables as Joan Bolton, U.S.D.F. Gold
Medalist, Mary Wanless, internationally known author and trainer, and Olympic
Medalists Gunter Seidel and Sandy Howard. Caitlin has been a featured rider in
training videos, shows, and exhibitions.
